Kolkata Preparing for International Kite Festival 'Vokatta'

January 5 is going to be the second year of the famous kite festival started last year by Santosh Kumar Jaiswal. This year the festival is going to be introduced to Eastern India when it will be celebrated in Kolkata. Another important change which is worth mentioning in this regard is that this time, the festival has gone international. This means, kite fliers from various countries are going to take part in this interesting competition along with the native ones. Accorder to the founder, more than 50 eminent masters of this field will be participating in this Vokatta International Kite Festival of 2014.

The festival will take place within a 480 acre Eco park of Kolkata. Special arrangements are being made to amaze the onlookers. This year, greater priority will be given to the appearance of the kites. This hints at the possibility of experiencing a breath taking site of a sky, covered with kites of mesmerising designs. The designs will be naturally influenced by the indigenous taste of the land, the participants are coming from which will contribute to a much desired variation in the aerial picture. Apart from the designs, the unique shapes and size of the kites will be nothing less in awestrucking the spectators. Special arrangements for a hot air balloon ride have also been taken care of for children.
